She's bilingual and bossy!

At school, Harper has learned to count to ten in both Spanish and English. Supposedly, she can also count to ten in French but she is more shy about it. Her teacher says she does it well, but I will believe it when I hear it myself. Plus, she has also learned to boss Mommy around. :-) Ha! Ha!

BFFs

Claire's best friends from her old school came over for a playdate. We asked them all to come swim at my parents' house. You see, Claire loves Miss Leah, Lily and Olivia. Their bond is deep and their friendship is hard to beat. They play well together! Plus, I love their Mommies which makes it double fun!

Miss Harper's best buddy is Bryce. We LOVE Bryce. Harper and Bryce have to constantly be reminded to give each other some room. :-) Romance budding early?

Kindergarten, Pre-K and Early Pre-School

Day 1 of Pre-K for Miss Claire and Harper's 1st day in her new Early Pre-School class. Claire begins wearing uniforms.

The boys also began Kindergarten! Their school is right around the corner from their house, so Christi and the boys walk to school! They were so excited!!!

It is sad to realize that the kids are getting big and growing up. Time flies by so quickly, but I am so thankful for happy kids who love school. Here's to many more firsts!!!

9 years together

Daren and I just celebrated 9 years of marriage! (We have actually loved one another for over 13 years!) Nine years ago, we were so sure that the love we felt for one another would last forever. We vowed before God and all of our friends and family that the committment we were making to one another would endure all things. I am proud to say that it has, it continues to and it will forever. Daren is the love of my life. The love I felt on August 17, 2002 was strong, real and full of hope. The love I feel today is unwavering and forever growing. I will not lie and say it is always easy, but I can honestly say it is always respectful, committed and passionate. I could not love another human being more. Here's to a lifetime together!

Then we shared a wonderful dinner followed by a night on the town without children. And we even got to sleep in!!!

Birthday parties

With two young girls, it seems that we have a birthday party for one friend or another every weekend. We are on the constant birthday party circuit. Harper has just recently gotten to the age where she has her own friends that are just hers. She got to go to a birthday party at JW Tumbles for her sweet friend Maddie. It was so much fun to watch Harper play on her own terms, with her own friends. Don't get me wrong. She loves to be with her Issy, but she deserves some special time too.

Claire and LaLa to the circus

We have had some computer problems lately so I have been slacking on posting to our blog. Bear with me while I catch up...

Recently, LaLa took Claire to the circus. She had a blast with her LaLa. She got to see all the animals do amazing tricks, but she was most excited about her new clown nose. :-) Claire got to have a special sleepover with LaLa. She had big fun!
