This year, the Nixes treated us to a wonderful week in Bar Harbor, Maine. Despite the hardships getting there and getting home, this was one of the most incredible weeks we have spent anywhere. There was so much to do and see. Everything was gorgeous and the girls had a ball! We hiked, biked, whale watched, sailed, danced, ate ice cream, shopped, and more. I decided that when we retire, I want to come some place in the Northeast each summer to escape the Texas heat. We went to Stowe, Vermont a few years back and it was also amazing. I really like this part of the country a lot. More than anything, we thank the Nixes for the gift of these special adventures.
